VET.CT Annual Emission Report 2024

Since 2023, VET.CT operates as a carbon-neutral company. Following the calculation and report of our annual scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions, we explore projects that align with our mission and values through which to offset our total carbon footprint. We are also committed to reducing our carbon emission to net zero and are working towards verified science-based targets.

Our offsetting Projects

We are excited to support the following projects through our offsetting, certified as Gold Standard for Global Goals* for climate security and sustainable development:

• Our physical office emissions have been fully offset by supporting the Rural Forest Community Project Protecting Tropical Rainforest and Bio-diversity in the State of Acre, Brazil

• Our travel has been offset through improving clean cookstove distribution in Rwanda.

• Our remote team homeworking, commuting and good and services have been offset through supporting a renewable energy wind power project in Rajasthan, India

Next steps:

• Introduce annual carbon budgets from 2027: Set an annual company carbon budget for travel and software in line with reduction targets.
• Reduce refrigerant footprint: Track recharge events properly; ensure maintenance contracts are in place; plan replacement of high-GWP gases with lower-impact alternatives.
• Improve awareness and provide educational resources for:
  • Remote workers to reduce footprint e.g. green energy tariffs and heating behaviour.
  • Hotel and flight bookings to shift behaviour towards lower-impact or certified options and provide a list of preferred suppliers where possible.
  • Continue to build reporting data: Add vehicle types for mileage and regional headcount breakdown, target >60% completion of homeworking survey.
