VET.CT Strengthens Climate Commitment with Net Zero Targets

VET.CT has announced that it has become one of only a handful of veterinary companies worldwide to have validated science-based net-zero targets. This significant milestone builds on the company’s 2024 achievement of operating as a carbon neutral company and reflects its key value of doing the right thing for animals, people, and the planet we share.

As a global provider of diagnostic imaging reporting and education services, VET.CT recognises that caring for animal health is intimately linked with caring for the environment. With climate change accelerating, the company believes it has a responsibility to act decisively and set ambitious, yet achievable goals to reduce its carbon emissions.

Validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), VET.CT’s commitments set a clear path for meaningful climate action:

• Reduce scope 1 and scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by over 50% within 10 years
• Measure and reduce scope 3 emissions across its supply chain and partnerships.
• Reach net zero by 2050, through a 90% reduction in scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, with prioritisation of direct emissions reductions (decarbonisation), and neutralisation of only a small amount of unavoidable residual emissions, in line with SBTi criteria.
