New small animal teleradiology turnaround times for North America are suited to meet modern client needs, maintaining the high-quality reports VET.CT is renowned for.

VET.CT has announced the launch of new small animal teleradiology turnaround times (TATs) for North America in direct response to requests from clients. The new TATs include urgent (stat), overnight and routine (standard) options for X-Ray, CT and MRI reports from board-certified radiologists.

Meeting Client Needs

Following a period of consultation with clients, the needs of the North American clinics have underpinned the changes the company have made to their new TATs for the region; maintaining its urgent options (1 hour for X-Ray, 4 hours for CT and MRI), plus adding a new overnight turnaround option (submit by 10pm local time to receive the report by 8am the following day). Its routine TAT has also been reduced to 24 hours.

Maintaining High Quality

While adapting the TATs, the company will maintain its commitment to excellence and clinical accuracy. VET.CT does not work on a production-based model, and its robust internal quality assurance includes ongoing training, case discussion forums, and the option of double-reading with supporting radiologists. Additional input from multidisciplinary specialists is included where appropriate to ensure clinical relevance and inform the next steps in patient management. The annotated reports are also covered by the company’s unique Clinical Warranty for accuracy.

Radiologist Dr Matt Winter, VET.CT’s chief veterinary medical officer said, “We’re excited to be adapting our services to meet the changing demands of veterinary practice. Pet parents are expecting more of our clinics, and we’re moving in step to support our clients to provide accessible, appropriate and timely care. Our passion has always been exceptional quality - when you have a VET.CT report you know can rely on it to support great patient care - and we’ll continue exploring innovative ways to deliver this service with increasing efficiency.”

The company is continuing to review its small animal TATs across its additional global regions of operation, tailoring its services to meet local needs.
