VetCT has announced its multi-disciplinary teleconsulting service now offers unlimited access to specialist advice to support vets with the management of chronic cases.

The change reflects a response to customer feedback and the continued improvement of the service to meet the needs of vets in practice.

The VetCT teleconsulting service provides specialist advice to veterinary teams on cases within the clinic. The support can be accessed via the web and app-based platform that enables safe, secure transfer of case notes and supporting materials.

Advice from the specialist team is typically provided as a written report within 24 hours, with options for text chat or telephone conversations when vets may want to discuss the case with a specialist. The service can be accessed on a pay-per-case or subscription basis.

Follow-up advice had previously been capped at two weeks, but this has been extended to unlimited ongoing access for each case/clinical complaint. Internal medicine specialist and Head of Teleconsulting at VetCT, Dr Kate Murphy, says,

“We are delighted to be extending our support for cases that require ongoing management, such as endocrine disorders or complex wound management. Our clients have fed back how valuable it will be to partner with us longer term for these patients, to provide guidance and reassurance that care is being optimised and help to keep owners engaged and happy.”
